Jet Set: J.K. Place Rive Gauche Paris

I have greatly admired the work of Italian architect and interior designer, Michele Bonan’s work for several years now, so naturally, I am always thrilled to learn about one of his new projects. Most recently, Bonan worked with Ori Kafri, owner of the ultra-chic J.K. Place Hotels in Capri, Florence, and Rome to open the brand’s latest outpost in Paris, the brand’s first outpost outside of Italy. When asked why he chose to open J.K. Place Rive Gauche in Paris by How to Spend It, Kafri said “It’s the number-one tourist destination, your first stop when you come to Europe. It’s prestigious, chic, elegant, with fashion, art and luxury. It’s sort of everything.” This new hotel follows in the footsteps of the other J.K. hotels, combining spectacular, historic architecture with modern interiors and an unparalleled level of bespoke luxury. Featuring just 30 rooms in various sizes and levels of decadence, this stunning property is situated in a former embassy on the Rue de Lille in Saint Germain de Pres a chic address without a doubt.“We want to make people feel at home. But an ideal home.” Kafri also said. The property is slated to open sometime this Summer, so it is at the top of my list for one of our future trips to Paris! In the meantime, I have been keeping an eye on J.K. Rive Gauche’s Instagram for an official opening date.
