LDV Edit: Summer Style & Sale Picks from Moda Operandi

Summer is just around the corner although it feels like it has already arrived in Houston! As such, I’ve been thinking about wardrobe updates that feel fresh for the new season, but that can carry me through a variety of climates. I have quite a bit of work travel this summer with a trip to New York this week, a trip to Round Hill in Jamaica in a couple of weeks, a book signing in Midland, Michigan, and another trip to Paris to find more treasures for our shop, Paloma & Co. As I have gotten older, I have really come to a point where I buy fewer, better things. Rather than buying tons of what some consider disposable fashion, I have been investing in pieces that are well-made and are more apt to stand the test of time. Quality over quantity! Since I travel quite often and am always on the go, I tend to shop online more than in person to save time. Founded by perennially chic fashion model-turned-editor, Lauren Santo Domingo, Moda Operandi pays homage to the tradition of couturiers who showcased their creations in trunks to elite clientele, it is the only online retailer to invite clients to Pre-Order next-season’s looks straight from the runway. And for those who want a little instant gratification, they also offer an expertly curated in-season boutique with the chicest finds each season. Some of my favorite things about shopping with Moda Operandi are their expertly curated stories, the constant stream of new trunk shows which have led me to discover so many new brands and designers, and their pretty, pink packaging. There is nothing better than receiving one of their signature pink boxes to find something in one of their branded garment bags inside.
