Hello, readers! Jeanne Lyons Davis here at LDV headquarters. Temperatures finally started to drop in Houston, so we’ve got gorgeous gourds on our porches, pumpkin spice lattes in our hands, and riding boots on our feet. Speaking of things adding pep to our steps, for this week’s installment of “Print in Print,” we’re loving the cool, cozy, and collected 100-year-old farmhouse of Heather Chadduck Hillegas in the October issue of House BeautifulThe decorator and textile designer, who you recognize from the pages of Coastal Living and Southern Living magazines where she formerly served as style director, incorporates both town and country appeal into her Birmingham home.

Fondly referred to by friends as the “Pineapple House” after its gracious owners, the sophisticated space is chockfull of storied antiques, fresh-from-the garden clippings, and elegant upholstery from her fabric line, Heather Chadduck Textiles. Steeped in Southern style and sensibilty, the century-old home effortlessly mixes congenial colors and natural textures while being peppered with personality, like in the Jamaica Room (above), which was inspired by their travels.

“To me, a house is a collection of memories,” shared Hillegas. “My husband, David, and I got married at the Round Hill resort in Jamaica, and we return every year…Our house reminds us of being on vacation.”

Take a peek at the elegant space below and grab a copy of House Beautiful‘s October issue.
