October Book Signing Events

My book tour is in full swing! I was just in Birmingham a couple of days ago for a book signing at a beautiful shop called Maison. We had an amazing turn out and even the mayor of Mountain Brook came by, so it was quite a fun evening! I will be home for a couple of days and then I will be off again next Tuesday. My first stop is in Washington, D.C. for a book signing at the ultra-chic Ann Mashburn store in Georgetown. We are lucky to have an Ann Mashburn in Houston and it is one of my go-to places to shop. I have also teamed up with Capital Art Collective for the event and have curated an assortment of their fabulous original art. After Washington, D.C., I will head straight to High Point, North Carolina for three book distinct book events! First up, I am having a book signing at the Visual Comfort showroom on Saturday, October 13th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Visual Comfort is a company near and dear to my heart. Not only do they produce the best designer lighting in the industry, but my husband has worked there for the past 12 years and the owner, Andy Singer has been a wonderful mentor to me. We may also have a little something in the works, so stay tuned! Be sure to get to the event early because Visual Comfort is generously giving away free copies of Dream Design Live to the first 100 people in line!

On Sunday, October 14th, I will be speaking on a lively panel discussion with Flower Magazine‘s Editor-in-Chief, Margot Shaw along with fellow authors Richard Keith Langham, Jennifer Boles, and Jeffrey Dungan at the Universal Showroom at 11:00 am. A group book signing will immediately follow the panel discussion. Flower is such a fantastic publication. It’s very big in the South and features all the best things pertaining to a beautiful lifestyle. I wrote a guide to all of My Favorite Places in Houston for an issue last year and they just published a Glowing Review of Dream Design Live in their current issue.

On Tuesday, October 16th, I will be speaking with fellow authors, Donna Garlough and Nora Murphy on a panel called “Becoming an Influencer” at The Point from 11:15 am – 12:15 pm. We will discuss how to grow your influence and cultivate connections to generate business growth and development opportunities, so it will be a rather interesting topic.

After High Point, my next stop on the book tour will be in Dallas on Friday, October 26th at the beautiful Blue Print store! I am super excited to see their lovely store in person, see friends from Dallas, and of course, sign lots of copies of Dream Design Live.
