My good friend, Bailey McCarthy and her husband Pete are doers and makers, movers and shakers. Between the two of them, they are the creative minds behind her charming brand, Biscuit, which sells stylish bedding and linens and has a flagship store in Houston along with his company, Goodnight Hospitality which launched Goodnight Charlie’s, a modern day honky tonk last year and will launch three additional restaurant concepts in the near future. They’ve had a sweet home in the country just beyond Houston for several years, but recently expanded, by enlisting Curtis & Windham architects, also from Houston, to build a larger, Greek Revival-style farmhouse on their property to accommodate the long list of friends and family who have taken a liking to visiting and enjoying the slower pace in the country. For the interiors, Bailey turned to her design hero, Miles Redd to design the house to create a “granny chic meets Wes Anderson” vibe. The result is exactly that– fun, effervescent, with a classic spirit, and plenty of room for entertaining. You’ll find some of my favorite moments from a recent Architectural Digest feature below.
