{The Charming Millbrook, NY Home of Peter Pennoyer and Katie Ridder}
This month is going to be a busy one! I have been in New York since last Tuesday and will be here until this Friday since the Kips Bay Showhouse just opened. It also happens to be Fabian’s birthday today and I am so excited to celebrate his birthday in New York tonight! While I have had numerous trips to New York over the past couple of months and have a few more on the docket when I return for the launch party of my Williams Sonoma Home collection at the flagship store in Chelsea and again to dismantle my Kips Bay room when the showhouse closes after May 30th, I am anxious to get out to the country while I am up here. I’d love a day or two in The Hamptons and am dying to go up to Hudson. I have never been there and have heard wonderful things about the beauty, the antique shopping, and the beautiful old houses. I’m crossing my fingers that I can make some time to sneak away on a future trip. As such, I have a truly classic, American color palette on my mind because to me, few places embody the American spirit like New York, whether it is the fast pace and enterprising spirit of the city or the enduring elegance of the charming country towns.
