Isn’t Spring a beautiful season? Everything is verdant and vibrant– filled with promise and glorious beauty. Everywhere I look, I am seeing green, so naturally, it is the color that is dominating my mood this month– mixed with classic black and white for good measure, of course. Historically, I would have been in Los Angeles this week for one of my favorite annual design events, Legends of La Cienega, which sadly was cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This year, I would have likely had to skip the event anyhow because I would have been fresh off of my trips to Chicago for the Lake Forest Showhouse which is postponed (but NOT cancelled!) and we would have just returned from our trip to Paris to celebrate Fabian’s 40th Birthday. This month, I would have been in New York to see the Kips Bay Showhouse which has also been postponed and NOT cancelled. If you can, please consider donating to the wonderful charities these showhouses serve to support.
I feel like I’ve said would or should so many times in this post so far. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, am I right? The most important thing is that we are safe and healthy. That said, I can’t wait to resume a sense of normalcy and see my family, friends, clients, and colleagues, but am staying put at home until it is safe to truly resume our day to day interactions. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some gorgeous images to illustrate this month’s mood featuring a palette of black, white, and green shown with the striking work of a talented, emerging artist, Joelle Somero along with some of my must-have picks for emulating this look in your own wardrobe. There is something comforting about this color palette, is there not?
