I am so grateful to Forest & Bluff Magazine in the Chicago area for this wonderful story about my participation in this year’s Lake Forest Infant Welfare Showhouse as Honorary Chair. Like so many, I am saddened by our current state of affairs, which of course means that the showhouse is postponed indefinitely. Please know that the organizers and designers are working so hard to make this event extraordinary. It will not be canceled, but it will take place a little than we originally thought. It’s surreal to think that I would have been in Lake Forest this week installing “Eternal Eden”, the dining room I designed and having it photographed. Most importantly, please keep in mind that the purpose of showhouses is to raise funds for the charities who do amazing work in their respective communities, in this case the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago. If you re able and so inclined, please consider making a donation as the children’s needs are greater than ever now and the events they depend on to raise funds are postponed. I look forward to seeing you there once the showhouse opens!
