Last night, we attended the President’s Dinner for the 2019 Kips Bay Showhouse in New York. It was a wonderful evening filled with hundreds of figures from the design community who came together for a wonderful cause– to raise funds for the amazing Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club. It was wonderful to meet some of the children and to see so many friends from the design world. In preparation for the trip, I realized I needed a new pair of shoes to go with my gown. Over the last couple of years, I have taken to wearing more of a block heel which works perfectly for daytime or even cocktail, but isn’t appropriate for evening. All of the dressier shoes in my closet have heels higher than I care to wear anymore. As I have gotten older, I just don’t care to suffer for fashion any longer. So, off I went onto the internet to find a great pair of shoes– something simple, strappy, dressy enough for evening, but with a heel height that wouldn’t be brutal on my feet. 24 hours later, a pair of Stuart Weitzman Nu Naked 60 Sandals arrived at my door. Lo and behold, they fit perfectly and were comfortable the second I put them on my feet. That never happens! They were comfortable enough to wear for the entire night and by the time I took them off, I did not have any discomfort. The best part is that these chic, classic sandals go with just about everything! I purchased them in black, but am planning to order the taupe color as I know these are sandals I will wear for years to come since they combine style and comfort so perfectly!
