One of my favorite books of the season is all about color! Author Carlos Mota, who you may know as a former editor and design consultant waxes poetic about his love of color in his newest book, Beige is Not A Color. If you follow Mota on Instagram, then you are surely familiar with his oft-used hashtag and while his book doesn’t go about bashing neutrals, it celebrates some of his favorite interiors, places, and even jewels in every shade under the soon. I found it amusing that the book is almost entirely pictorial without much writing, but with such vibrant, sumptuous photographs to devour and the prettiest cover I have seen in recent memory, who needs to actually read this book? After all, they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
