I have France on the brain because we are heading there again on another buying trip tomorrow! I can hardly wait as I am a major Francophile and love just about everything regarding French culture– the architecture, history, fashion, the furniture, the food, all of it really. I suppose we are always drawn to things and places that are different from our own reality. Living in a city as “young” as Houston, it is always a treat to see the beautiful, centuries old buildings in Europe. Naturally, being on this wavelength, I went down a rabbit hole of French houses the other day and of course, I came across Chris Burch’s stunning 1608 hotel particulier in the process. According to Architectural Digest who recently featured the home on its cover, Burch originally set out to find a pied-a-terre in Paris, but the search eventually led him to this stunning mansion outside the city. La vie est vraiment belle, non?
