Happy Friday! It has been quite a long time since I’ve written a Friday Five post. The last several months have been super busy. We’re busier than ever both with design work and at the store and with just 6 weeks to go until my due date, I have been racing against the clock to get everything done. These have always been among my favorite posts to put together, so I hope you enjoy this week’s favorites!
ONE: With Spring in full bloom, it’s a perfect time to freshen up your home. Painting your walls is one of the easiest ways to dramatically enhance your interiors. Along with 13 other fabulous designers, I spoke to Veranda Magazine about how to choose and test paint colors. I also divulge my favorite white paint colors that always seem to yield crisp, clean white walls that allow for art and furnishings to truly shine.
TWO: I was thrilled to see that artist Riley Sheehey is collaborating with Dondolo, a children’s clothing brand, to create a collection featuring her charming floral paintings. Her delicate, timeless designs lend themselves perfectly to baby clothes, and I can’t wait to get my hands on these gorgeous pieces.
THREE: Antiques, blue chip art, and a contemporary touch? I knew I would find so much inspiration from this article just by reading the title. Architectural Digest featured a Georgian Revival in Brentwood, Los Angeles which was brought to life by architect Thomas Proctor and interior designer Elizabeth Dinkel. It is the perfect mix of luxurious and functional- the ultimate and sometimes difficult balance to strike as a designer.
FOUR: This new book by Celerie Kemble has made me want to hop on a plane to a beautiful, tropical destination more than ever! The whimsical coffee table book features Kemble’s house in the Dominican Republic and captures the breezy, relaxing vibe of a summer vacation. It is a happy pill in book form.
FIVE: Erin Donahue Tice is our newest artist at Paloma & Co and her abstract works have such unique texture and depth. She is drawn to the object nature of abstract art and loves the free-flowing experience of creating something unexpected which is obvious when viewing her works.
