Can you believe summer is unofficially here and the first half of the year is already behind us? With so many major things happening in the world, 2020 has at times felt like it’s dragged by at a snail’s pace while as I sit here writing this, I can hardly believe it has been three months since we began quarantining and working from home. We’ve started taking meetings again, so it feels like a little bit of normalcy has resumed. Summer, while brutal in Houston with the heat and humidity, has always been one of my favorite seasons, but it goes without saying that this summer will be completely different without the ability to travel. While a day near the water may not be feasible for a while, I love the idea of spending a leisurely afternoon by the pool or on the beach soaking up the sun with a good book. Summer to me is green lawns, blue skies, the sound of the water nearby, stripes and straw, popsicles, rosé and of course, a classic color palette of red, white, and blue! What do you love about summer?
