Hello LDV readers. This is Karima from A Note on Style sharing the looks and pieces shaping my mood right now. November is always a busy month with lots of running around in prep for Thanksgiving, travel, and the upcoming holidays. With that in mind, I’ve selected some great pieces that will have me out the door in a flash and running around in style!
I’m hitting pause on blue or black denim while I rotate grey jeans more frequently into my wardrobe. Paired with a palette of brown, taupe and ivory pieces, the color story reads as refined and elegant. I don’t worry about matching exact shades. Mixing is effortless and the result is far more interesting. Along with grey jeans, I’m reaching for brown boots instead of black and layering lighter colored pieces on top. A puffer vest is a closet essential for me, so I’ll be adding one in either taupe, beige or cream. I love a classic grey blazer but I’ll let them take a back seat while other jackets with unique silhouettes make their statement. The Toteme buttonless cocoon above is perfection. I’ll accessorize my everyday run-around look with simple interesting accessories to pull it all together.

Brown boots:
Sport brown boots instead of black. From cognac to chocolate, all shades of brown make an outfit current.

A forever classic reinvented in an interesting shape is fresh.
Add a little down:
Vests and scarves for that extra layer to take away the chill.

Quiet little pieces with loads of style.
